USING ROLE - PLAYING METHODS IN TEACHING GRADE 10 CIVICS EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL
Abstract
Teaching by role-playing method is very suitable for social science subjects, including civics education. Using role-playing method in teaching grade 10 civics education is the practice of teachers orienting cognitive activities, educating attitudes, forming and developing students' skills. This orientation is done through designing and organizing activities for learners to role-playing civics education situations. Thereby, learners can express personal opinions, views, and positions; demonstrate attitudes, thoughts and behaviors, and how to deal with situations arising in the subject's practice such as worldview issues, moral education, etc. When using the role-playing method in teaching some specific contents of the 10th grade civics education subject, especially the "ethical citizenship" section, will promote the positivity and creativity of learners, creating the attractiveness of the subject to meet the innovation in teaching today. The article uses the method of analysis - synthesis and comparison to show the advantages of using the role-playing method in teaching 10th grade public education. The research results of the article have theoretical and practical meaning, contributing to innovating teaching methods of 10th grade civics education in our country's high schools today.
