CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS FOR CONSERVING AND DEVELOPING SOME SPECIES OF MEDICINAL PLANTS WITH HIGH ECONOMIC VALUE IN BA CHE DISTRICT, QUANG NINH PROVINCE
Abstract
The study aims to provide a basic database on medicinal plant species, especially rare species with high economic value in Ba Che district, Quang Ninh province. By basic research methods such as survey, statistical processing, etc., the results show that Ba Che district has diverse and rich medicinal plant resources. Specifically, in the area, there are 277 species of medicinal plants that are regularly used by people; 31 species classified as rare and of high economic value; 33 species recorded in the List of Essential Traditional Medicines. There are 2 species in Group II according to Decree No. 06/2019; 13 species under conservation; 21 species determined by Decision No. 3657. The distribution characteristics and reserves of medicinal plant species in the study area are very diverse, including in the ecosystems of natural forests, protection forests, stream banks, rocky mountains, upland fields, low fields, home gardens, etc. To preserve and develop the values of medicinal resources in the region, it is necessary to promptly and synchronously implement such solutions as solutions of policy, management organization and market; technical solutions with special emphasis on combining urgent conservation of displacement and status quo with rare and endangered species; investment solutions...
