Abstract

During the years 1954 - 1956, in Southern Vietnam under the direct leadership and direction of the Southern Vietnam Regional Committee, political struggle activities and propaganda work among enemy soldiers achieved many results. The political and propaganda work among enemy soldiers struggle activities in Southern Vietnam in the years 1954 - 1956 created a positive premise for the development of the South Vietnam revolution thereafter. Using historical and logical methods, the study has clearly shown the process of the Southern Vietnam Regional Committee leading the people in political struggles to request the Ngo Dinh Diem government to implement the 1954 Geneva Agreement, general election to unify the country as well as lead propaganda work among enemy soldiers in local armed forces, organizations and agencies of the Republic of Vietnam government. At the same time, the research results also highlight the important role and contribution of the Southern Vietnam Regional Committee in leading and directing the revolutionary struggle from 1954 to 1956.
