THE RESPECT FOR COMMUNITY CHARACTERISTICS OF VIETNAMESE PEOPLE AND SOME IMPACTS ON CURRENT NATION BUILDING

Abstract

Community spirit is a fine traditional cultural value of the Vietnamese people formed in the process of building and defending the country. Through analyzing the origin and some impacts of the community-oriented character on the current nation-building process, the article raises the issue of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nation in the new context. Using the basic methods of history, namely historical, logical, comparative, and analytical methods, the article has summarized the basis for the formation of the community-oriented character, including geographical - cultural, economic and social premises, and at the same time pointed out some positive and negative impacts of the community-oriented character in the current nation-building process. In order to accelerate the industrialization and modernization of the country, it is necessary to limit the negative aspects, while continuing to promote the positive aspects of the community-oriented character.
