Abstract

This article focuses on the role of the Viet Minh Front during the resistance war against French colonialism from 1949 to 1951, particularly in organizing and mobilizing the entire population to participate in the struggle. By analyzing the political, military, and diplomatic strategies of the Viet Minh Front, the article clarifies how the organization effectively applied the strategies of people’s war and protracted resistance, while also gaining international support from socialist countries such as China and the Soviet Union. Using historical research methods and document analysis, the article assesses the development of the Viet Minh Front and its decisive contributions on both the battlefield and the diplomacy. The findings demonstrate that the Viet Minh Front successfully leveraged the power of the people, securing key victories and paving the way for further research into resistance strategies in the Vietnamese history.
