LANGUAGE DESCRIBING PEOPLE IN THE TAY NOM POETRY STORY THACH SANH

Abstract

Language is the soul of a nation; almost every nation has its own language, which carries within its characteristics that express the cultural identity of that nation. In the language systems of the ethnic groups in Vietnam, the language of the Tay people clearly shows its own characteristics, commonly used in the daily lives of the indigenous people. These identities are utilized by the folk author in the Nom poem "Tay Thach Sanh". In this article, the authors focused on researching the language that describes people in the Nom poem "Tay Thach Sanh" to highlight the linguistic characteristics of the Tay people. To achieve the research results, the authors conducted surveys, gathered statistics, and classified the system of word classes referring to people in the Nom poem "Tay Thach Sanh". The article lists the system of words referring to people according to five types: pronouns, body parts, activities, states, and personalities, clarifying the unique features of the linguistic values of the Tay ethnic group. The results of this research contribute significantly to the cultural and linguistic heritage of the nation.
