THE CURRENT STATUS OF ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF HIGH SCHOOL TEACHING PERSONNEL IN THUY NGUYEN WARD (HAI PHONG)
Abstract
Building and improving the quality of high school teachers and staff is becoming more urgent and of long-term strategic significance in the context of fundamental and comprehensive educational reform. Thuy Nguyen ward (Hai Phong) has a large scale of high school education with 10 training facilities. This study clarifies the current situation of improving the quality of teachers and staff at high schools in Thuy Nguyen. With the method of document research and survey of high school teachers in the area, research results show that in the period of 2021-2024, the planning, arrangement and use of high school teachers in Thuy Nguyen achieved positive results. The rate of teachers teaching in the right field increased, the situation of teaching in the wrong field decreased but there were still shortcomings in some subjects. Training and fostering work was given more attention, the participation rate was increasing but the content was not really close to practical needs. The evaluation of teachers basically reflected stable quality, the majority completed their tasks well, but the evaluation criteria were still heavy on formality, not fully reflecting actual capacity. The results of this study will provide important information to help managers have more specific and stronger solutions to promote the development of educational staff in Thuy Nguyen ward, Hai Phong city.
