THE STRATEGIC FOUNDATIONAL ROLE OF THE POLITICAL PLATFORM (FEBRUARY 1930) IN THE VICTORY OF THE AUGUST REVOLUTION OF 1945
Abstract
This study focuses on clarifying the strategic foundational role of the Political Platform (February 1930) in the preparation and leadership of the revolutionary movement that culminated in the complete victory of the August Revolution in 1945. Employing historical and logical methods, and drawing on primary documents as well as scholarly sources from both domestic and international research, the study examines how the Platform was applied to define the goal of national independence associated with democracy, build revolutionary forces, expand the united national front, and organize political forces in accordance with the realities of the revolution. The findings demonstrate that the Political Platform not only affirmed the Party's leadership role but also served as a consistent strategic guideline for all revolutionary activities, thereby enabling the timely seizing of opportunities to launch a nationwide general uprising to seize power. The study concludes that the enduring value of the Political Platform (February 1930) lies not only in its foundational role in the success of the 1945 revolution but also in its continuing relevance as a vital theoretical basis for safeguarding national independence and promoting sustainable development in the current context.
