RESEARCH ON APPLYING CHATGPT IN PREPARING LECTURE DOCUMENTS IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING AT COLLEGES

Abstract

In this article, the authors apply ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-training Transformer) to prepare lecture outlines and pre-class assessment tests. The purpose of the study is to shorten the time for preparing lecture documents in vocational training. The group of authors uses the method of practical research, document research and exploitation of ChatGPT application. The results of choosing to apply ChatGPT to prepare lecture documents before teaching at LILAMA2 International Technology College have shortened the time to prepare lecture outlines by 60%, and the time to prepare simple questions and answers to test learners' knowledge by 50%. ChatGPT is highly effective up to 90-100% for subjects and modules that do not have complex drawings or formulas in the form of integrals, number series... such as: Law, History, concept, classification, structure… ChatGPT is not effective for lecturers when using ChatGPT for the purpose of preparing lecture notes before teaching without careful screening of the content. To overcome these disadvantages, the article proposes some solutions for applying ChatGPT to prepare lecture documents to achieve better teaching results in some of the above cases.
