THE CURRENT SITUATION OF EMPLOYMENT IN XIN MAN COMMUNE, XIN MAN DISTRICT, HA GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

Employment is one of important issue in the social security issues. In the current context of modernization and globalization, there are many changes in the jobs in mountainous and border areas of Viet Nam. This study was conducted to understand the current employment situation in mountainous and border regions and the factors affecting it. This will provide a basis for proposing policy recommendations to address labor and employment issues, thereby promoting socio-economic development and ensuring security and national defense in border areas. The author conducted fieldwork in Xin Man commune in the April-May of 2025, using in-depth interviews and group discussions to collect data, qualitative analyze and summarize. The research results reflect changes in employment of Xin Man people focusing on agricultural commodity production and service jobs. These are the  adaptation to natural conditions and specific social contexts. The article hopes to contribute more data showing the current employment situation in the mountainous border areas of the North of our country; on that basis, propose appropriate recommendations and solutions.
