PROPAGANDA WORK AMONG ENEMY SOLDIERS IN SOUTHERN VIETNAM (1973 - 1975)
Abstract
Propaganda work among enemy soldiers was one of the “three-spreadhead attack” (political struggle, military and propaganda work among enemy soldiers) of the army and people of Southern Vietnam during the resistance against the U.S. - the Republic of Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. From 1973 to 1975, propaganda work among enemy soldiers were carried out effectively in Southern Vietnam, making an important contribution to defeating the Saigon government, leading to the unification of the country in 1975. During these years, under the leadership and direct struggle direction of the Central Office of South Vietnam, propaganda work among enemy soldiers was strengthened and propaganda work among enemy soldiers was considered an important struggle strategy on Southern Vietnam battlefield. Using two research methods: historical method and logical method and researching related historical documents, the study initially contributed to analyzing and clearly pointing out the policies and results of propaganda work among enemy soldiers on Southern Vietnam battlefield from 1973 to 1975. Furthermore, the research findings underscore several lessons in revolutionary leadership and strategic direction from this period, which retain their full validity in the current process of national construction and development.
