ANALYSIS OF VIETNAM’S EXPORT COMMODITY GROUPS TO THE EU MARKET
Abstract
The European Union (EU) is currently one of the most important trading partners of Vietnam. This paper analyzes the export performance of Vietnam's goods to the EU market for the period of 2008-2016. On the basis of analyzing the status of export activities, achievements, limitations and causes, the paper has proposed some solutions to boost Vietnam's export into this market in the next period. The solutions focus on enhancing the competitive advantage of products, promoting the export of products with high comparative advantages, enhancing trade promotion activities, expanding distribution channels, effectively dealing with with trade defense measures of the EU market, increasing access to information on the EU market and the commitments of the EVFTA.
