NEW RECORDS AND UPDATED COMPSITION OF THE HEPETOFOUNA IN CON DAO NATIONAL PARK, BA RIA – VUNG TAU PROVINCE

Abstract

This study presents the result of the current status of amphibian and reptilian species (except reptilian the sea) in Con Dao National Park, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. We conducted 4 conservation surveys between 2016 and 2019, we have collected and processed the data in morphological form 112 specimens of 60 amphibian and reptilian species belonging to 45 genus, 21 family and 3 order. Among them, Squamata is the most diverse set with 14 family, 39 species; in which, Colubridae family is the most diverse family with 6 genus, 10 species; the most diverse genus is Microhyla which has 5 species. The study showed the new distributional records of 2 family: Lacertidae, Natricidae and 18 species in Con Dao National Park, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
