RISKS IN PRODUCTION OF FARMERS IN TAN CUONG TEA PRODUCTION AREA, THAI NGUYEN CITY

Abstract

Production risks are inevitable in every field, especially in agricultural production which is very sensitive and always entails risks from changes of natural and social factors. This study was conducted to analyze risks in tea production of farmers in Tan Cuong tea production area, Thai Nguyen city. The research result identified 3 risk factors at level 1, and 12 risk factors at level 2 in tea production of farmers. By using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the research also assessed the damage level caused by each risk factor to tea production. The study also suggests some solutions to reduce risks in tea production of farmers in Tan Cuong tea production area. Regarding farmers, they need to link in production and purchase production insurance to minimize risks.
