EFFECT OF ACID PAK 4 WAY 2X SUPPLEMENTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF COBB 500 BROILER CHICKEN KEEPING IN CLOSED HOUSE IN SUMMER SEASON

Abstract

This study was designed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of the Acid pak 4 way 2X - is abbreviated AP, it is a drinking water solution product that contains four essential ingredients: citric acidifiers, enzymes, electrolytes and lactic acid bacteria on performance of  Cobb 500 broiler chicken from 1 to 6 weeks of age in closed house Summer time. The experiment was conducted on a total of 24000 chickens, assigned into 2 experimental groups, each group consists of 12000 chicks and the experiment was conducted in triples. The first group is treated by AP, the second is controled. The results showed that supplementation of AP continuously for the first 5 days and one day a week followed by 0.5 grs/1 liter of drinking water for Cobb 500 broilers had good effect on the criteria of growth, feed conversion ratio, performance index, economic number, differences from non-supplementation were statistically significant, decreasing direct cost for broiler keeping farmers was 3.58%.
