THE EFFECTS OF PLANTING DISTANCE AND HARVESTING TIME ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF RHIZOMA LIGUSTICI WALLICHII IN QUAN BA, HA GIANG

Abstract

The aim of this research conducted to identify the optimal planting distances and harvesting time of Rhizoma Ligustici wallichii in Quyet Tien commune, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province. All of experiment were arranged by a completely random block with 3 repetitions and one factor. The experiment were conducted to monitor and record the data in 30 plants/ plot with 40 m²/plot. Four treatments of planting distances (25 x 20 cm; 30 x 25 cm; 35 x 30 cm; 40 x 35 cm) and three treatments of harvesting time (10, 12 and 14 months after planting) were designed. The results showed that the planting distance on 25 x 20 cm gave the highest of yield (2.75 tons/ha); and 10 months after planting is the optimum time for harvesting.
