MULTINATIONAL CLASSROOM AS THE CURRENT TREND IN HIGHER EDUCATION INTERNATIONALIZATION AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

In the world of global challenges, foreign universities have implemented many strategies to attract Vietnamese students to come to study, and many international students choose Vietnamese universities as study destinations, therefore, the multinational classroom has been formed. In light of researching the role, the necessity of multinational classrooms in the trend of higher education internationalization, the article has focused on analyzing the advantages, disadvantages and suggestion on improved points of conducting multinational classroom. In this article, we use the research methodology as practical observations, case studies, and in-depth interviews with Vietnamese, international lecturers, and students at Thai Nguyen University. The research results have suggested some solutions to improve quality, efficiency and created motivation for the university’s internationalization such as renovating the university management, creating the conditions for lecturers to develop the capabilities, increasing classroom interaction and exploring a new culture.
