FACTORS AFFECTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION INTERNATIONALIZATION AT NONG LAM UNIVERSITY - HO CHI MINH CITY
Abstract
This study is implemented to understand the views of the staff and lecturers working at Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh City on the implementation of the internationalization of higher education at the university. This is a quantitative research with the participation of 199 staff and lecturers. The survey was conducted using Google survey form. Respondents were asked to answer a 52-item questionnaire. The results showed that most of the survey respondents recognized the importance of six factors including commitment, organizational structure - personnel, educational program - results, policies, student mobility, and environment. Specifically, the curricula, the integration of international studies, and the global themes were considered to be major aspects of the university's internationalization. In addition, they agreed that the organizational structure - personnel factors influenced the internationalization of higher education at the research setting.
