RESULTS OF PHYSIOTHERAPY ON OUTPATIENT TREATMENT WITH SPONDYLOSIS AT VINMEC TIMES CITY HOSPITAL IN 2021
Abstract
The study evaluates the treatment results for 88 outpatient with cervical spondylosis (46 patients, accounting for 52.3%) and lumbar spondylosis (42 patients, accounting for 47.7%) through physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods at Vinmec Times city Hospital between March and September 2021. The study used a cross-sectional descriptive research method. The patient's condition was assessed at 2 time points on admission and before discharge. Treatment results show that the cure rate of over 95% (good) is 42%; the support rate from 50-95% is 53.4% (fair); <50% support is 4.5% (poor). The pain level score according to VAS scale decreased from 6.42±0.867 to 1.59±1,046 after treatment (p<0.001). There is a relationship between age; disease duration; patients with other chronic diseases and pain levels when entering study subjects had treatment results (p < 0.05). There was no relationship between gender and treatment outcome (p>0.05). Research results show that the rehabilitation method of spinal degeneration patients at Vinmec hospital achieved good results.
