Abstract

In today's wireless communication system, media is considered as random object between transmitter and receiver, which reduces signal quality due to spontaneous factors of radio waves. In addition, 5th generation (5G) high-speed mobile networks as well as the future challenges of 6G networks require effective supporting technologies. In order to overcome the negative effects of propagation waves, a number of works are proposed to control the wireless channel in the direction of optimization. The authors will conduct research on intelligent surface technology that helps control radio waves, contributing to improving the overall performance of the communication system. The article provides information on structure, principle of operation, applicability, superiority of reconfigurable passive reflective surface, several channel estimation models and proposing directions. developed for smart radio systems that incorporate this emerging technology. The results of the paper can be used as a knowledge foundation, as a reference in learning, research and teaching in the information technology and communication fields.
