Abstract

Analytical chemistry is an important basic discipline for training undergraduate pharmacy program. The chosen participants were 270 second-year pharmacy undergraduate students at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Thai Nguyen University in the 2021-2022 academic year. By using the cross-sectional research method, we figured out that percentages of students who regularly selected documents from reliable sources and had the awareness of talking to the lecturers and friends to be assisted in finding references were 77.0% and 70%, respectively; the percentages of students who regularly read and understood the content of Vietnamese references provided by lecturers were counted for 80% and 86.7%, respectively; the percentages of students who were able to summarize the data to use in the documents for study and research purposes was 88.9%. The Percentage of students synthesizing knowledge in the form of mind maps and solving knowledge-based exercises was 56.7%. Thus, the study revealed that Pharmacy students regularly read and understood Vietnamese resources, whilst there was a contrast on English materials counted for only 16.6% and 0%, respectively. Searching for documents via the Internet was counted for a higher percentage than reading reference books. The research results are significant to provide solutions for learning quality improvents in the whole University.
