SOME RESEARCH ON COLLABORATION IN TEACHER EDUCATION BETWEEN PEDAGOGICAL SCHOOLS AND HIGHS SCHOOLS AND CURRENT ISSUES

Abstract

In the process of teacher training, the collaboration between pedagogical schools and high schools is an important factor that not only determines the training quality but also has great significance in the professional development of teachers. Through the collaboration, pedagogical school students have opportunity to have access to the curricula, teaching methods, class organization and teaching environment in high schools. This helps students pursue their career and being well performed in educational tasks after graduation. This article focuses on an overview of some research results in Vietnam and in the world on the cooperation, linkage between pedagogical schools and high schools in teacher training and retraining, improving educational practice… From there, a number of issues need to be researched and clarified in terms of theory, practice and solutions, contributing to improving the quality of training in pedagogical schools and the capacity of high school teachers, meeting the current educational innovation requirements. In the investigation of collaboration between Pedagogical University and high school, the researcher has used theoretical research method to analyze and synthesize relevant and appropriate knowledge, thereby drawing valuable conclusions to apply to teacher training in Vietnam.
