RESEARCH OF CHANGES IN PUBERTY OF FEMALE STUDENTS AT TAM THANH AND GOI TOWN SECONDARY SCHOOL, NAM DINH PROVINCE

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of changing puberty of female students at Tam Thanh Secondary School and Goi Town Secondary School, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province. The research method used is a cross-sectional descriptive method on 293 students, including 144 female students at Tam Thanh Secondary School and 149 female students at Town Goi Secondary School during the period from March 2022 to May 2022. The results showed that the age of menstruation in female students at Tam Thanh Secondary School was 13 years 8 months ± 1 year 7 months; and that of female students at Town Goi Secondary School is 13 years 5 months ± 1 year and 6 months. The rate of occurrence of acne, pubic hair, armpit hair was lowest at the age of 12 (26.6%) and gradually increased through age classes (aged 15 reached 76.9%). Average bust increases by an average of 3.4cm/year, leapfrogging at the age of 12-14. Stature increases by 3.6cm/year on average. Body weight increased on average 3.1kg/year, the rate of increase was uneven in all ages.
