Abstract

Civic Education for grade 6 is one of the subjects with many contents closely related to practice and life. To teach effectively and with high quality, in addition to theoretical research, the use of situational learning teaching methods, using learning situations associated with practice... at different levels will contribute positively to the development of problem-solving capacity for students. By means of theoretical research and development, the author has raised a number of theoretical issues about situational teaching methods, about teaching problem solving. Then, using the generalization and synthesis method, the author builds a number of learning situations in specific lessons of Civic Education for grade 6. Through the analysis method, the author proposes a number of solutions to develop problem-solving capacity for students through Civic Education for grade 6 through learning situations. Situational teaching method is one of the methods that is implemented with high efficiency, stimulating thinking ability, creativity, developing problem-solving capacity of students.
