FIELD-LAND SITUATION OF QUANG HOA DISTRICT, CAO BANG PROVINCE FROM THE FIRST OF THE 19TH CENTURY TO 1945

Abstract

Since the early 19th century, the issue of land ownership management in Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province was taken seriously by the Nguyen court, not only demonstrating the feudal state's concern for sovereignty. Territories in remote border areas, on which the national cultural picture is portrayed. Through geographical data and written documents, this study has clarified the changes in the land situation in Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province from the early 19th century to 1945. In the first half of the 19th century, land in Quang Hoa included private field, private land, public field, public land, abandoned fields..., in which private field and land accounts for the majority (94.8%), public land accounts for a very small proportion and has insignificant fluctuations. From the second half of the 19th century to 1945, fallow land increased. The results of this research are an important basis for Quang Hoa district in particular and Cao Bang province in general to consider and plan appropriate land policies.
