Abstract

In the context of rapid digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence in language teaching opens up numerous opportunities for pedagogical innovation and enhanced learning outcomes. This study analyzes the impact and effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools in supporting foreign learners of Vietnamese, through a case study of Indian students at Duy Tan University. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative data collected from learning products and survey questionnaires to capture learners’ experiences and evaluations. The findings reveal that artificial intelligence tools positively support Vietnamese language learning, particularly in content creation, idea development, and technical assistance for producing Vietnamese lesson videos at the B2 proficiency level. Based on these results, the study proposes models for integrating artificial intelligence into the development of Vietnamese language competence for international students, emphasizing technology as a supportive aid rather than a replacement for teachers. This approach contributes to improving training quality in the context of internationalization.
