Abstract

This paper assessed student’s awareness of forest ecosystem services at Trung Vuong Secondary School, Thai Nguyen city to show level of perceptions and impact factor on awareness of students at urban areas in a mountounous provinces. Beside methods of reviewing documentation and data analysis, we surveyed by questionnares over 300 students at the chosen school. The research results showed that almost students at Trung Vuong secondary school identified all of the forest ecosystem services. However, over 70% of students recoginized provisioning and regulating services while about 40% of whom knew cultural serivices. They had right awareness of human impacts on the ecosystem and forest protection activities which are suitable with school students. The good knowledge of students of forest ecosystem services is success of intergrating environment education among schools, families and society. The rearch illustrated that students expected having more visits and experience activity in nature areas to improve their awareness of forest ecosystem services and forest protection.
