QUALITY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES AT HANOI METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY ACCORDING TO THE SET OF STANDARDS FOR QUALITY OF HIGER EDUCATION ACCREDITATION: REALITY AND SOLUTIONS
Abstract
This study aims to show the current situation and propose some measures to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities at Hanoi Metropolitan University according to the set of standards for quanlity of higher education accreditation. Deriving from the theories of accreditation and training quality of universities to analyze and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning activities according to 6 factors: System of selection of teaching and learning activities; Teaching staff; Organizing teaching and learning activities; Study environment; Activities of testing and evaluating learners; Evaluation and improvement of teaching and learning activities. The authors used qualitative and quantitative research methods, combined with a survey of 218 students from different faculties of Hanoi Metropolitan University. The results show that although there are some limitations, in general, the teaching and learning activities of the school have well fulfilled the requirements/criteria. From there, the study proposes measures to improve the quality of training for the University.
