AN INTRODUCTION TO SEVERAL CONSULTATION TOOLS THAT SUPPORT PUPILS TO HAVE A THOROUGH GRASP OF MEANINGS AND USING SINO-VIETNAMESE VOCABULARIES

Abstract

Sino-Vietnamese words is an important part of Vietnamese vocabulary that enriched Vietnamese language. To be well understood the meaning and using of this class of lexicon are basic skills of learning Philology as well as studying other social-sciences. However, most pupils and even teachers still have difficulties with Sino - Vietnamese vocabulary. In this article, we would introduce some free electronic dictionaries (represented by smartphone, dictionary softwares) to improve the linguistic competence of pupils in high schools, to help them be active, have inspiration and convenience in perceiving the meaning of Sino - Vietnamese words. We have experimented these for years and the result was quite satisfactory when pupils were extremely willing to. We hope to widely apply these solutions to get the best effect in teaching and learning Sino - Vietnamese words in schools.
