Sự tham gia của người dân địa phương đóng vai trò quan trọng trong sự thành công của phát triển du lịch. Bài nghiên cứu này nhằm khám phá các động lực và rào cản ảnh hưởng đến sự tham gia của người dân địa phương vào phát triển du lịch tại Cồn Bà Tư, Cồn Chày Mười, xã Thới Thuận, tỉnh Vĩnh Long. Phương pháp thu thập và phân tích dữ liệu được thực hiện thông qua điền dã và phỏng vấn sâu người dân đang tham gia các hoạt động liên quan đến du lịch trong bối cảnh địa phương. Kết quả phân tích cho thấy các động lực chính thúc đẩy người dân tham gia phát triển du lịch bao gồm tăng thêm thu nhập, tận dụng tài nguyên nông nghiệp và cảnh quan sông nước, bờ ven biển, quảng bá đặc sản địa phương đến du khách. Thiếu sự ủng hộ của chính quyền địa phương, ô nhiễm môi trường, sự phát triển chưa đồng bộ của cơ sở hạ tầng, cơ chế chính sách và nhận thức là các rào cản ảnh hưởng đến sự tham gia của người dân địa phương vào phát triển du lịch. Kết quả cung cấp những hàm ý sâu sắc cho các nhà hoạch định chính sách và những người thực hiện nhằm hỗ trợ và khuyến khích người dân địa phương tham gia tích cực, toàn diện vào phát triển du lịch bền vững.Lượt tải
