Pressure from stakeholders and sustainable governance practice
Abstract
This study examines the relationship between stakeholder pressure and sustainable governance practices (using a systematic literature review) to provide a more comprehensive view of this relationship and suggest future research opportunities. As a result, (i) organizational factors in addition to mentioning individual factors and macro-level factors (regulatory variables) also consider the interaction between these factors in the analysis process; (ii) stakeholder theory is mentioned the most followed by institutional theory; (iii) the main research object is the manufacturing sector; (iv) the most common research method is survey; (v) environmental aspects are mentioned more than social aspects; (vi) the relationship between stakeholder pressures and sustainable governance practices is unclear (various outcomes) so it is difficult to establish a direct relationship between them.
