Abstract

The use of agricultural land in high-tech models plays a crucial role in producing high-value agricultural commodity products. In Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province, significant investments have been made in recent times to utilize agricultural land for these models. The research aims to evaluate the efficiency of agricultural land use in Nghi Loc District to assist local people in selecting land use patterns suitable for the region’s natural conditions, based on a system of economic and social efficiency evaluation criteria. The study employs methods such as primary and secondary data collection, comparison, and land use efficiency assessment. According to the research results, the high-tech agricultural model in Nghi Loc includes 11 specific land use patterns. Among them, the poultry and shrimp models stand out for their economic efficiency. The pig farming model generates an income of 488.98 thousand VND per công (a local land unit), contributing to increased income for local residents. The models with outstanding economic and social efficiency provide an important basis for guiding and proposing solutions for effective agricultural land use in the coming period, contributing to the sustainable development of high-tech agricultural models in Nghi Loc District.
