Sutyding status of recycling and environmental issuses at some Vietnamese e-waste recyling enterprises and proposing supportive sollutions

Abstract

This study assesses the collecting, recycling, and environmental status of electronic waste recycling companies in Viet nam. The results show that companies have synchronous waste recycling system but they face with many problems due to lacking of input wastes. The raw materials current mainly are imported from government’s collecting companies. A huge electronic wastes from domestic households are unbable to collected to those companies because of high price and the competition from craft villages. Besides, the government organizations have not policies to support those business activitity, although the benefits of electronic waste recycling are not only economic aspect but also environmental pollution treatment. In order to solve this problem, this study propose management, policy, and awareness methods to support those companies, help developing sustainably electronic waste recyclying activity and protecting local environment.
