Abstract
The dust mass concentration reference system (ManDust) is designed and fabricated by a dry air flow generation system, a dispersion system, a PM dust mixing system with isokenetic sample injectors and an outlet system (reference meter and dust meter). ManDust generates standard dust mass concentration points with turbulent flow to homogenize PM dust with isochronous sampling outputs for verification/calibration of PM10/PM2.5 in the ambient air. ManDust allows the generation of PM in the mass concentration range from a µg/m3 to 2.000 µg/m3 with a uniform distribution rate of 4.38% sampling area, stability of 3.15% in a test of 120h and the uncertainty in measuring the mass concentration of PM 5.98% (95% confidence).
