Monitoring the forest type trends in Thanh Hoa Province

Abstract

Monitoring of changing forest over the years is an important condition for socio-economic and environmental development in  society today. Through the research method of collecting data over the years from the Provincial Forest Protection Department and related management agencies as a basis for analyzing and evaluating forest changes over the years as a basis for management. The results of research show that, Thanh Hoa province, special-use forests and production forests areas increased during this period of 2016-2021 by 919,54 hectares and 43.733,11 hectares respectively, while the area of ​​protection forests remained unchanged around 163.538,25 ha. Therefore, monitoring of changing forest needs to be considered in the process of improving management, there should be appropriate adjustments to forest areas to each location as a basis for identifying and proposing adjustments depending on science in the near future.
