ASSESSING THE PRESENCE OF SOME CHEMICAL RESIDUES IN WASTE HDPE DRUMS AND PROPOSING SAFE REUSE SOLUTIONS

Abstract

The reuse of waste HDPE drums can contribute to reducing costs compared to buying new ones, helping to increase the use value of drums and reduce plastic waste in the environment. Currently, waste HDPE drums sold on the market still contain chemical residues. If their management and treatment are not technically appropriate, they will be dangerous for users and potentially cause environmental pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to have effective management solutions and appropriate techniques for handling chemical residues to protect the environment and ensure the safety of those who reuse waste HDPE drums.
