Abstract
Natural landscapes are different from human-made landscapes, which have natural origins and were formed over a long period of time in the history of the development of the earth's crust. It needs to be evaluated in terms of value to see the unique differences, thereby serving the development of nature-based tourism and ecotourism. Assessing landscape value, according to many international researchers, is not simple because it is more subjective than objective, depending on the human mind and aesthetics. In the article, there is a study case at the ancient rock field in Na Hau commune, Van Yen district, Yen Bai province. Here, a comprehensive assessment method was applied, including landscape measurement and landscape evaluation. The study result is to inventory the entire tourism resources of the ancient stone field and evaluate the landscape value for each object as well as for the entire rock field. It is an important basis for local NBT and ecotourism planning.
