Current status and solutions to strengthen wetland management in association with socio-economic development in the coastal areas of the Red River Delta
Abstract
Wetlands are a very diverse and rich ecosystem with many economic, cultural, and social values and are an important resource for socio-economic development. In recent years, socio-economic development activities have been seriously affecting the management, use, and conservation of wetlands in many localities, including the coastal area of the Red River Delta. Through methods of overview, document analysis, and survey of some wetland ecosystems in the provinces of the Red River Delta, the article analyzes the current status of wetlands use in association with the socio-economic development of the coastal region of the Red River Delta. On that basis, some solutions for the management of wetlands in conjunction with the socio-economic development of the coastal region of the Red River Delta have been proposed.
