NARROWING INCOME GAP OF NGHE AN PROVINCE WITH OTHER PROVINCES IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Abstract: The paper analyzes the economic development process of Nghe An province in relation to other provinces in the North Central region and the whole country, based on the changes in three strategic breakthroughs, namely institutions, human resources, and infrastructure. The analysis shows that Nghe An has achieved significant results in economic development involved in stability in income distribution. The province is gradually narrowing the income gap with the national average, but facing widening income gap with the average of the North Central region and centrally governed cities. Therefore, focusing on investing in human resources and attracting foreign direct investment will be the main policy priorities for Nghe An in the near future.
