REGIONAL PLANNING: CURRENT SITUATION AND ISSUES RAISED

Abstract

Abstract: Regional planning is considered a specific step in the national socio-economic development strategy, determining the comprehensive, long-term development path of a region, and thus is considered a crucial orientation of the State. In recent times, although regional planning in Vietnam has seen numerous innovations in approaches, methods, and content to ensure consistency and effectiveness in accordance with the 2017 Planning Law, there are still certain limitations. The paper highlights four obstacles that need to be overcome in the period of regional planning from 2021 to 2030 and the vision up to 2050.
