THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19 ON THE ONLINE SHOPPING HABITS OF YOUTH
Abstract
This study analyzes the current state of online shopping among youth and assesses the extent of the impact of COVID-19 on the online shopping habits of young individuals. The research aims to propose solutions to enhance the overall quality of online shopping services and specifically for youth engaged in online shopping activities. Using a mixed-method approach with quantitative data collection (206 respondents via convenient sample) combined with qualitative data (20), the study reveals the current situation and the influence of COVID-19 on the online shopping habits of youth in Cau Giay district (from March 3, 2022, to April 15, 2022). The results show that COVID-19 affects delivery time, delivery fees, and product quality (counterfeit or low-quality products). Additionally, the most significant impact is the risk of disease transmission from delivery personnel. The study provides recommendations for youth in selecting products, choosing reputable suppliers, and, importantly, adhering to the 5K principles during the delivery-receiving process.
