MỨC ĐỘ VÀ MỤC ĐÍCH SỬ DỤNG INTERNET CỦA NGƯỜI DÂN VIỆT NAM HIỆN NAY: CƠ SỞ XÃ HỘI CHO PHÁT TRIỂN CÔNG NGHỆ SỐ TRONG KỶ NGUYÊN MỚI
Abstract
The paper analyzes the extent and purpose of Internet use by Vietnamese people today, based on a survey of more than 9,000 adults across six socio-economic regions. The results show that 87.5% of people currently use the Internet, with significant differences by gender, age, place of residence, education, and occupation. Men, young people, urban residents, and those with higher education levels use the Internet more frequently. The Internet is mainly used for communication, news updates, learning, and working. However, a digital divide still exists among population groups, especially ethnic minority women, the elderly, and people with low education levels. The paper proposes policies to promote digital skills literacy, upgrade technological infrastructure, and support vulnerable groups to ensure a comprehensive, sustainable, and inclusive digital transformation process.
