PROPOSAL FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INDICATORS IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Abstract: In recent decades, sustainable development issues has been paid special attention in Vietnam. Some indicator sets have been issued to monitor, supervise, and evaluate sustainable development. These indicator sets have a number of specific indicators for measuring sustainable economic development. However, indicator set to measure sustainable economic development have not been officially issued by both central and local levels. Furthermore, the measurement indicators related to sustainable economic development have not yet provided fully or systematically. From an overview of the theoretical basis, the paper aims to provide a framework of indicator set to measure sustainable economic development in a systematic and more comprehensive way in Vietnam.
