CIRCULAR ECONOMY MODELS IN THE FISHERIES SECTOR: LESSONS FOR VIETNAM

Abstract

Abstract: Vietnam's fisheries sector plays a crucial role in the national economic development. However, in the current context of resource scarcity and environmental pollution, the application of a circular economy is an essential requirement for the fisheries industry. This article focuses on analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of two widely applied circular economy models in the global fisheries sector. The aim is to compare these models with the practical situation and draw lessons for Vietnam's fisheries. In conclusion, the author proposes recommendations for the Vietnamese fisheries industry to adopt circular economy models, aiming for sustainable development.
