Introduction

Aims and Scope

Sponsored by the Vietnam Maritime University, the Journal of Marine Science and Technology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the fields of marine science, technology, engineering, economics, maritime policies, and the marine economy.

The Journal serves as a prestigious academic forum that connects scientists and experts, promoting the dissemination of novel research findings, technological solutions, and policies for the sustainable development of the maritime industry and marine economy. Theoretical studies must be deeply integrated with practical contexts; research with high applicability is strongly prioritized.

The Journal welcomes submissions across the following specialized domains:

1. Maritime Engineering and Technology
   • Design, shipbuilding, operation, and maintenance of seagoing vessels and marine structures.
   • Offshore engineering, floating structures, hydrodynamics, wave mechanics, and wave-structure interactions; construction of bridges, seaports, and waterways; structural materials and foundation engineering.
   • Mechanical engineering, marine propulsion, electrical and electronic engineering, marine automation, and control systems in maritime transport.
2. Digital Technology, Automation, and Maritime Applications
   • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain applications in transportation.
