PHASE IDENTIFICATION IN LOW-VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK BY CLUSTERING ALGORITHM

Abstract

This paper presents the research and indentification of the phases in the low-voltage distribution grid (0.4kV). The method used by the authors is to process time series data measured from smart meters, each time series will be characteristic of a consumer in the low-voltage distribution grid. The time series data will be preprocessed before being clustering into three clusters for 3 phases R, S, T in the grid using the Fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm. The results of the simulation using Matlab software show that the algorithm for phase identification is very accurate and has a high ability to apply in practice to the low-voltage distribution network in Vietnam.
