RESEARCH ON THE SET OF CRITERIA FOR GREEN CONTAINER TERMINALS: A CASE STUDY OF HAIPHONG

Abstract

Seaports play an important role in the economic system of a country. However, seaports also cause serious impacts on the environment and human health. Researchers have proposed a green port model with green criteria to ensure both economic development and environmental protection. However, the research on green criteria for ports is still in its infancy in Vietnam. The purpose of this study is to study the set of criteria for ports in the Hai Phong area, aiming to develop green container ports. Research using Delphi method to consult experts in the field of seaports and maritime. As a result of 2 rounds of consultation, the study proposes 20 important criteria for a container port. The results of the study will be explained in detail in the study.
