CHANGES IN FAMILY VALUES IN THE MEKONG DELTA: PERSPECTIVE ON MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE

Abstract

The paper analyses the changing family value system affecting marriage and family relationships in the Mekong Delta. The impact of changes in the family value system is clearly seen in the division of labour, decision-making power, freedom in marriage decisions, and issues related to divorce. Thereby, the article proposes a number of solutions that contribute to positively transforming the family value system in the Mekong Delta in the context of modern society
