Abstract

In the contemporary era of globalization, multiculturalism has emerged as an inevitable trend in numerous countries worldwide, including Korea. Due to social challenges such as low birth rates and an aging population, Korea has been experiencing a significant wave of international immigrants, including international students, workers, and individuals immigrating through international marriage. To ensure sustainable development and a healthy, equitable multicultural society, the issue of cultural adaptation of immigrants in Korea has become more urgent than ever. This research initially explores theories related to cultural adaptation issues and strategies within a multicultural society, with particular emphasis on married immigrant women. Furthermore, the study synthesizes factors affecting the cultural adaptation process of this target group in Korea, aiming to establish a foundation for further research on the cultural adaptation of married immigrant women
