Abstract
This article describes a community-based screening and intervention process using the M-CHAT, Denver II, and CARS scales for early detection and progress assessment of children in Ninh Binh. 62 children with developmental disorders aged 2-10 were screened through healthcare, education, and family channels, and then participated in a 6-month intervention. The results show that the early detection rate is low; however, the communitybased intervention model has a significant improvement in communication, adaptive behavior, and social skills. The coordination among family, healthcare, and education plays a decisive role in enhancing the effectiveness of the intervention.
